About the Event Calling future scientists! The U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is hosting the (PPPL) Young Women’s Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The conference will have two regional events, held at distinguished educational institutions on the east and west coasts.The conference introduces seventh to 10th-grade girls to careers in STEM through hands-on activities, small group presentations, a science demonstrations and a keynote address. Girls spend the day learning about a huge variety of STEM careers and networking with prominent female scientists and engineers from around the world. Notices approving or declining registration will be sent by email. An adult age 18 or older must register all attendees. An adult age 18 or older must accompany all attendees on the day of the event.
