The WiE Math and Science Awards were established in 2021 by PPPL’s Women in Engineering (WiE) Employee Resource Group. The award is to recognize young women that are high school juniors who excel in Math and Science and are looking to pursue a STEM career path in college. 

Awardees will receive a laptop, plaque, certificate and a year of mentorship. The awardees will have an assigned mentor that they will meet with once per quarter to help them navigate their senior year, college application process, and expose them to different STEM fields. There will also be quarterly Subject Matter Expert (SME) meetings where the awardees will be able to network with PPPL engineers, technicians, and other STEM professionals while also learning about various STEM career paths.

The FY24 WiE Math and Science Awards is now closed. Applications are being reviewed by the chair and the co-chair of WiE ERG.
