Tullio Barbui Title Staff Research Physicist Email [email protected] Bio/Description Dr. Tullio Barbui is a Staff Research Physicist in the Advanced Projects department, currently working at the IRFM research institute (CEA - France). Dr. Barbui works in the field of x-ray diagnostics for fusion plasmas, developing innovative x-ray measurement techniques applied to the WEST tokamak. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Padova (Italy) in 2014 focusing on impurity transport studies on the reversed-field pinches. He subsequently worked as a postdoc from the University of Wisconsin stationed at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald (Germany) where he conducted research in the field of visible spectroscopy on the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator.
