Shota Abe is a Staff Research Physicist at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). Shota has expertise in plasma surface interaction, erosion and redeposition processes, surface analysis techniques, plasma chemistry, and spectroscopic diagnostics for nuclear fusion and industrial low-temperature plasma applications. Shota is a collaborator of the DIII-D (General Atomics) and LTX-β (PPPL) fusion devices for plasma surface interaction research. Shota started to work at PPPL in 2019 as a Princeton University postdoc and joined PPPL as a staff member in 2022.
