Bio/Description

Saurabh Saxena is an Associate Research Physicist in the Theory Department at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). Since joining PPPL in 2023, he has focused on advancing whole-device modeling for stellarators, specifically through the integration of new physics-based models for bootstrap current into the extended magnetohydrodynamic code, M3D-C1. Concurrently, he is dedicated to enhancing the foundational code infrastructure to foster seamless interoperability across existing magnetohydrodynamic codes. Before joining PPPL, Saurabh earned his doctoral degree from Florida State University in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, he completed an MS in Ocean Engineering at the University of Florida and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
