Novimir Antoniuk Pablant

Division Head, Stellarator Experiments; Principle Research Scientist

Dr Novimir Pablant is currently the head of the stellarator experiments division at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and leads our international collaboration on the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator in Greifswald, Germany. Novimir is a world leading expert in x-ray spectroscopy of high-temperature plasmas, both for magnetic confinement fusion and high energy density physics. His most recent work has been in studying core energy and impurity confinement at the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator, and in developing X-ray diagnostics for W7-X, ITER and the National Ignition Facility. Novimir gained his PhD from the University of California San Diego developing a line-ratio based motional stark effect diagnostic at DIID-D, and his B.S. from University of California Santa Cruz.
