Maggie Rivers

Title
Dr. Robert A. Ellis Postdoctoral Fellow
Bio/Description

Maggie Rivers’s research is focused on high energy density plasmas relevant to inertial fusion energy. She graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Physics and Mathematics before obtaining her PhD in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin. At UT Austin, her dissertation work studied laser-plasma instabilities of green laser light at the Extreme Light Infrastructure’s L4n laser. Now, Maggie works within the High Energy Density Physics group at PPPL experimentally studying charged particle transport in warm dense matter and x-ray spectroscopy in hot plasmas.
