Lewis D Meixler

Head, Technology Transfer and Applications Research

Lew Meixler is presently Head of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) Office of Technology Transfer, Patents and Publications which is responsible for establishing sponsored research, protecting and licensing Laboratory intellectual property, and initiating Work for Others, Cooperative Research and Development and other collaborative agreements between academia, industry and PPPL.  He has been associated with plasma applications for over 30 years and has been recently active in applying low temperature plasmas for surface sterilization, and plasma surface interactions. His background includes electronic system designs for space satellite and ground station applications and teaching Electrical Engineering courses at The College of New Jersey, and several Community Colleges. He is the past Regional Coordinator for the Federal Laboratory Consortium’s North East Region and past Chair of the New Jersey Regional Homeland Security Technology Committee.  He has five U. S. Patents, an M.S.E.E. from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Engineering (EE) from the City College of New York. He is a Registered Patent Agent and a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey.
