As Chief Financial Officer of PPPL, Kristen Fischer leads the Laboratory's Business Operations Department, with responsibility for long-term financial strategy development, business-process improvement and operational efficiencies, innovative collaborations, business operations, risk mitigation, contract and compliance related matters, and the acquisition of all goods and services required by the Laboratory. She earned a B.A. in psychology at Rutgers University, and an M.B.A. in at Georgian Court University (Delta Mu Delta). She joined PPPL in 2013 after serving as the Director of Budget, Grants and Internal Controls for 17 years at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, where she served as a financial advisor to the Attorney General managing a budget of $1 billion on behalf of 12 operating divisions.
