Kenneth Hammond Kenneth Hammond Title Research Physicist Email [email protected] Bio/Description Kenneth Hammond is a Research Physicist in the Advanced Projects department at PPPL. His research areas include stellarator magnet design, real-time plasma diagnosis, and plasma boundary physics. He has participated in experiments on multiple stellarators including Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X) in Greifswald, Germany, the Large Helical Device (LHD) in Toki, Japan, and the Columbia (Non-)Neutral Torus (CNT) in New York, NY, USA. In addition, he currently serves on the Program Coordinating Group for W7-X. Prior to joining PPPL in 2019, he worked as a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany. He received a PhD in Applied Physics from Columbia University in 2017.
