Vice President for the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory

David J. McComas has been Princeton University’s Vice President for PPPL since April 2016. He is a renowned space physicist, professor of Astrophysical Sciences, and associated faculty in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. McComas spent 20 years at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he provided leadership in civilian and national security space programs. He is principal investigator on multiple NASA instruments and missions and serves on the Princeton University President’s Cabinet, President’s Council, and Executive Compliance Committee.
