Ammar Hakim Title Deputy Head - Computational Sciences Department Bio/Description Ammar H. Hakim is a senior computational physicist and Deputy Head of the Computational Sciences Department at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Washington, where he focused on high-resolution numerical methods for two-fluid plasma simulations. Prior to joining PPPL, he worked at Tech-X Corporation, where he led projects in computational electromagnetism and plasma fluid modeling. Hakim is the group lead for the applied and computational mathematics group within the Computational Sciences Department.
