The Future of Offshore Wind Energy and Transmission in New Jersey
Offshore wind is the future of energy in the United States, but unfortunately it is not the present. Come learn more about the development of the offshore wind industry in the nation and, more specifically, in New Jersey, which some herald as the leader in this nascent field.
The presentation will also highlight the importance of an integrated approach to efficient, high-voltage transmission systems, critical to the development of the industry at scale. The Atlantic Wind Connection is proposing an offshore backbone electric grid that will move offshore wind to shore, while strengthening the existing electrical infrastructure in the state, making it more reliable and efficient.
