The long historic links between cities and technology provides the basis for projecting future impacts, and lessons to avoid historic pitfalls and to better develop, use, and integrate innovations and technologies to chart intelligent pathways for our urban future. We then focus specifically on the emerging urban mobility, and how electrification, automation, sharing and micro mobility are examples of the technological shocks the long term impacts of which remains uncertain.
