Join us for a tour of the Lab Get a behind-the-scenes look at a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory during a tour of PPPL.You'll meet scientists who are working to create fusion as a potential energy source of the future and learn about plasma technologies we're creating to advance U.S. innovation.A highlight of our tours is seeing our main fusion experiment, the National Spherical Torus Experiment-Upgrade (NSTX-U).Our tours are led by trained guides who are working scientists, engineers, technicians, staff, and graduate students. Our tours are first come, first serve, and we limit tour groups to 15 people to ensure safety and security. We offer one public tour per month.Non-U.S. citizens age 18 and older must fill out a Foreign National Registration Access Form (link is external) required by the U.S. Department of Energy on the same day you register and at least nine days before the tour.See upcoming tour opportunities below.
