Visiting Faculty Program (VFP)
The Visiting Faculty Program is for faculty from colleges and universities with limited research facilities and from those institutions serving populations underrepresented in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.
The VFP supports teams comprised of one faculty member and 2 – 3 undergraduate students, who undertake hands-on research at PPPL during the summer months. The VFP faculty applicant (students do not apply directly) works collaboratively with the VFP program manager to identify a mutually beneficial research area amenable to collaboration between the applicant and a PPPL research scientist.
Faculty interested in the VFP should apply online here. The deadline for applications is January 9, 2015

Directions for student applicants will follow through feedback to the application of the VFP faculty applicant. If the VFP application is accepted, your institution may be responsible for requesting supplemental funding from NSF to support the team's participation.
Information about PPPL’s past VFP collaboration is on this page.
