A Collaborative National Center for Fusion & Plasma Research

The Interactive Plasma Physics Experience

The Interactive Plasma Physics Experience (IPPEX) is a one-stop site for resources on plasma physics and fusion. It can be found here: https://ippex.pppl.gov/

The site features:

-The PhD Comic video on fusion: a 6 minute animated video explaining the basics of fusion and of NSTX-U (keep an eye out for 2 Science Ed team members)

-The Virtual Tokamak: A video game based on real plasma physics where you control an energy producing tokamak. Maximize the energy production while staying away from the limits of operation.

-Remote controlled experiments: Control real plasma experiments form your own home or school.

-Ask a physicists: Send us a plasma or fusion question and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
