2012 PathSci Summit

The Pathways to Science program concluded the academic year with the first annual PathSci Summit held on Saturday,  May 12, 2012.  Four pairs of mentors and mentees presented their projects. The groups focused on a variety of topics including the genes regulating pancreatic cancer, to using JavaScript to simulate radiation doses, to teaching elementary school students about the solar system, to using atmospheric plasmas to kill bacteria.  Thirty people were in attendance at the Summit.

We’re proud of what our small community has accomplished this year.  Not only was there a lot of interesting science to discuss during the poster session, but there was also a great sense of camaraderie amid the mentors and mentees. Kudos to you for a great inaugural year.
