We offer monthly public tours and custom tours for schools and other groups. Register For a Tour Get a behind-the-scenes look at a Department of Energy national laboratory during one of our immersive public tours. You'll meet scientists who are working to create fusion as a potential energy source of the future and learn about plasma technologies we're creating to advance U.S. innovation. A highlight of our public tours is seeing our main fusion experiment, the National Spherical Torus Experiment-Upgrade (NSTX-U), which is currently being refined. Our tours are led by trained guides who are working scientists, engineers, technicians, staff, and graduate students. We take safety seriously and require all guests to wear a safety vest and glasses during their visit, which we provide. Read our tour guidelines and FAQs for additional tour information.
