The activities given below can be done on an individual or group basis. The organizers encourage families and participants to participate to foster communication and exchange of ideas. A survey form to determine the number of individuals who might participate in the activities will be posted on the Snowmass website by May 1, 2002. |

ART CLASS: FREE. Art class for children ages 7-14. Second week of Summer Study: Monday, July 15 - Thursday, July 18. Art instruction in watercolor. Children's work will be matted and ready for framing. Fee: $10 for supplies. Registration necessary before the Snowmass meetings begin. BIKING: Miles of trails await novice to expert riders, from gentle roads to challenging single track. More advanced riders can take their bikes up the chairlift for an exciting downhill ride. Lift tickets are required, but there is no extra charge for the bike. Bike rentals are available at stores on the Mall. CAMPFIRE: FREE. Storytelling by the campfire. Join a storyteller for an evening of trails and tales. Take a short walk down the Snowmass Nature Trail, stop to make a fire, s'mores, and drink hot chocolate. Strollers NOT recommended. Wear good walking shoes and bring an extra layer of clothing. For all ages. Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. Meet at the Snowmass Information Booth next to Christy Sports. |

CHILD CARE: FREE. Young Moms' afternoon. Individuals (those Moms with older children and teens) will baby-sit young children so that Young Moms can have an afternoon off to do other things. This will be organized for one or two afternoons during the meeting. Camp Snowmass. This popular program allows kids to revel in hiking, swimming, music, arts and crafts, games, field trips, and more -- right on the mountain. Daily and weekly adventure programs. FISHING: Kid's Trout Fishing Experience. Snowmass Mountain Outfitters, end of Village Mall. Kids age 4 to 12 experience the thrill of four-wheeling to our secret mid-mountain fishing pond to land brook and rainbow trout. Three-hour morning and afternoon fishing trips are available. Cost is $45.00 per child and includes guide, equipment, beverages, and snacks. Parents are encouraged to tag along! |

LIFT: Sam's Knob Lift whisks you to the highest point in Snowmass above the Snowmass Valley. At the summit of Sam's Knob you will find spectacular views and Sam's Knob Restaurant. Cost: $10.00 for adults; Children 6 and under and Seniors 70 and over ride free; Children 7 to 12 ride free with accompanying paying adult. Additional children 7 to 12 ride for $4.00 each. The lift is equipped to carry bikes and scooters and includes unlimited chairlift rides all day. Operation hours are daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. |

MUSIC: Aspen Music Festival is an internationally renowned classical music festival that presents world-class music in an intimate, small-town setting. Music Director David Zinman presides over more than 200 events, including orchestral concerts, chamber music, opera, contemporary music, master classes, lectures, and kids' programs. Concerts take place daily at the 2,050-seat Benedict Music Tent, the Victorian Wheeler Opera House, the Harris Concert Hall, and in churches and smaller halls around town. Many events are free, lawn seating outside the tent is always free, and other tickets range up to $55.
