Simulation Based Method for Measuring Spatially Varying Properties of Neutral Atoms and Molecules in Plasmas

This Invention is a method for extending the region of applicability of existing diagnostics techniques for characterizing neutral species in plasmas. This technique is designed to extend the range of validity of an absolute experimental determination of the characteristics of neutral species propagating into a plasma beyond the diagnostic's optimal range.  Moreover, this method allows one to infer all kinetic characteristics of the neutral species, regardless of the particular quantity measured.
