New Jersey Regional Science Bowl
Each year PPPL hosts the New Jersey Regional Science Bowl, a double elimination contest with question and answer rounds in the fields of chemistry, biology, physics, astronomy, mathematics and general and earth sciences. Teams from middle, high and home schools are invited to enter.
The NJ Regional Competition is open to all of NJ and surrounding areas that do not have a regional Science Bowl competition near-by (within 50 miles).
The top team from each regional competition wins an expense-paid trip to the national competition in Washington, D.C.; trophies are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams.
Registration for the 2017 New Jersey Regional Science Bowls opens on Octoboer 1, 2016 at 12:00PM (ET).
2016 New Jersey Regionals dates:
- Middle School competition will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016.
- High School competition will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
Future NJ Regional Science Bowls (tentative):
- 2017: Middle School Regional will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017; High School Regional will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
- 2018: Middle School Regional will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018; High School Regional will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
2016 National Event: April 28– May 2, 2016 in Washington, DC.

2017: April 27– May 1, 2017
2018: April 26 – April 30, 2018
