ISHW 2009 ACCOMMODATIONS / LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

DESIGNATED ISHW HOTELS / MEETING TRANSPORTATION

PPPL has arranged transportation to and from the three ISHW Designated Hotels for each day of all three conference meetings, the reception, banquet, and excursion, eliminating the need for rental cars.

However, it is important to note that the transportation arranged by PPPL is only available to and from the 3 ISHW Designated Hotels: The Wyndham Hotel and Conference Center, the Nassau Inn, and the Marriott Residence Inn (at Princeton/South Brunswick).

ISHW HOTEL RATES / MAKING RESERVATIONS

To ensure you receive the negotiated ISHW conference rate, you must use the reservation procedures below for each hotel.

THE WYNDHAM Hotel and Conference CenterWyndham Hotel and Conference Center

The Wyndham is the closest ISHW Designated Hotel to PPPL, ~ 5 minutes by car. The hotel does provide transportation (with advance notice) within a 5 mile radius that includes the restaurants in Princeton near the Nassau Inn, and the Princeton Junction train station (on the New Jersey Transit commuter rail system).

The hotel offers great recreational activities including a full-service fitness center, racquet ball courts, an indoor pool, and extensive outdoor running path.

There are two on-site restaurants: Woodrow's Dining Room and the Forrestal Grille. The hotel is a 100% smoke-free environment, with 364 guest rooms and wooded views of a 27-acre campus-like setting.

ISHW Conference Rates for the Wyndham:
$109 + taxes / Breakfast and unlimited internet access are both included with this rate
or $99 + taxes / Breakfast is not included

THE NASSAU INNNassau Inn

The Nassau Inn is in the center of the Princeton, a 2-minute walk from the Princeton University main campus, and is near the route of the Princeton University shuttle bus (Tiger Transit) to PPPL. The shuttle runs ~ once per hour in the daytime.

There are ~ 20 very good restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the Inn. The Princeton 'Dinky' train station is ~ 3 minutes away by taxi, and connects to the 'Northeast Corridor Line' on the New Jersey Transit commuter rail system with trains to Newark airport (EWR) and into New York City.

The Residence Inn (at Princeton/South Brunswick) is an all-suite property with fully equipped kitchens.

The hotel is located ~ 2 miles from Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and 5 miles from Princeton University's main campus and the Princeton Junction Train Station. It is just off the NJ / PA Turnpike on US Route 1.

The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to restaurants, shops, and attractions near the Nassau Inn and Princeton University , Monday through Friday 7:15 am-6:00 pm (reserved through the hotel concierge).

ISHW Conference Rate for the Residence Inn: $99 + taxes (Includes complimentary breakfast, internet, and a light dinner on Monday - Friday)

NON-DESIGNATED HOTELS

There are several other area hotels (View Listing). However, please note that PPPL will not provide transportation to or from any hotels except the three designated conference hotels above.

Some of these hotels do provide local transport (in small shuttle vans), and may be able to accommodate a small number of ISHW participants to the conference meetings at PPPL (check with the hotel desk).

Please note, they would not be able to provide transportation to the conference excursion, reception, or banquet, and none are within walking distance of PPPL, the New Jersey Transit stations, or the town of Princeton.
