Guidelines for authors of Nuclear Fusion

Special Issues (SPE)

1. The paper should focus on new and unpublished results. Already published material should only be briefly mentioned in the introduction.

2. The style should be appropriate for a genuine scientific article; a workshop presentation will not be acceptable.

3. Technology papers are acceptable in the context of the Special Issue’s topic, however they should describe new techniques or breakthroughs that enable new physics experiments which either: - were not possible before - or were only very cumbersome to do - or remove pertinent worries about the feasibility of fusion reactors.

Therefore no reports on standard conventional systems which are in the process of construction are acceptable.

4. The papers should be submitted online http://www.iop.org/EJ/authors (submit an article); upon submission the authors are asked to indicate which special issue the manuscript is intended for.

5. There is no page limit for submissions.

6. Each submission will be reviewed by two referees according to usual journal standards.

7. Each author will be asked to referee the paper by another author of the Special Issue.

9. The deadlines for submission and acceptance of papers should be kept.
